Overview

OMCA seeks a collaborative relationship-builder to join our 12-person fundraising team to become our first Major Gifts Officer. Reporting to and working alongside the Director of Individual Giving, this individual will carry a portfolio of major gift prospects and will cultivate, solicit, and steward individual and major gift donors. The ideal candidate will have experience with the principles and practices of individual fundraising, including donor research, moves management, and donor stewardship, preferably in a campaign environment.

 

OMCA is on the precipice of a new major philanthropic campaign to boost annual contributed revenue and grow its endowment in support of strategic initiatives. This position will play a pivotal role in the success of the campaign. Currently, OMCA’s total contributed revenue is approximately $9 million annually to support operations. OMCA’s campaign hopes to bring that number to $15 million annually by 2030, while also growing the museum’s endowment by at least $20 million.

 

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated abilities in expanding donor pipelines, cultivating meaningful relationships, and inspiring and mentoring a dedicated team. Superior communication skills will be critical to success, as well as a deep passion for and commitment to the work and values of OMCA.

The Associate Director of Visitor Experience collaborates with staff across the institution to provide strategic-level oversight of all visitor experience functions and ensures that our frontline staff delivers the profound sense of welcome that is central to the OMCA brand. This position leads a team with vision for and focus on a visitor experience that satisfies guests, encourages membership sales, and provides a warm welcome for all. The position also participates in and supports ongoing efforts to ensure visitor safety and institutional accessibility.

Overview

The Associate Director, Marketing Strategy develops institutional digital/content marketing and digital engagement strategies in support of the institution’s revenue and social impact goals. Oversees the development and maintenance of Museum’s owned web properties, the OMCA Blog, SEO/SEM strategy, email marketing, and social media strategy. Position works closely with the Senior Director of Marketing, Communications, & Visitor Experience to ensure the institution's digital advertising programs are integrated with activity on its owned platforms. The Associate Director, Marketing Strategy  collaborates with key stakeholders from across the institution to plan for and support Museum’s digital programming, digital exhibition, and other major content projects in addition to digital evaluation efforts.
