POSITION SUMMARY 

The Assistant, Store Inventory Operations is responsible for ensuring the OMCA Shop inventory, receiving, and store floor operations run smoothly. This position will manage the receiving of all incoming merchandise ordered by Store Buyer. They will also be responsible for restocking the Shop floor as the items are received. This position will need to maintain a deep knowledge of retail inventory best practices and offer recommendations on future merchandise purchases.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage, retrieve, and receive shipments of store inventory from the security receiving area.
  • Organize and manage back stock of all store merchandise inventory.
  • Confirms and corrects any missing shipments, contacts vendors for correction.
  • Communicates with management regarding inventory needs and materials needs (labels, boxes, etc.).
  • Restock merchandise on the Shop floor.
  • Shares out updates during team briefings and via email on new merchandise or inventory updates.
  • Fulfill online store orders (pull, package, and ship) in collaboration with other assigned staff.
  • Assist in management of yearly inventory checks.
  • Assists marketing/webstore team with inventory updates and purchasing suggestions.
  • Processes damaged merchandise both from receiving and in-store.
  • Manages expiration date monitoring of snacks offered in store and cycles near expiration items into clearance, creates and maintains a system to clear said items.
  • Spends time on the Shop floor interacting with customers to inform inventory decisions and future merchandise offering.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven track record of attention to detail and task management.
  • Minimum 1 year related retail/inventory experience.
  • English language proficiency in both spoken and written form.

  • Ability to travel between OMCA locations, and other travel as required by position responsibilities.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
