The Developer of Learning, Experience and Programming is responsible for the coordination and implementation of Adult Public Program (APP) streams that support OMCA’s brand as a museum, garden and gathering place and advance its social impact of building trust, understanding, and connection between people and communities.
The position collaborates with the APP Manager, other OMCA staff, artists, and community members to develop 3 program streams: Spotlight Sundays, a monthly mid-scale offering that connects audiences to the Museum’s exhibitions, core galleries, and emerging community conversations; Gallery Chats, which recruits and trains volunteers to connect content with lived experience to help make meaning and foster a sense of belonging for visitors in OMCA’s galleries; and Thursday After Hours a seasonal (Jan-March) weekly after hours in-gallery program. Additional institutional responsibilities may also arise as needed.
The position works in partnership with a unit of Program Managers and Program Developers who work cross-functionally and support a cohesive slate of programming, learning, and experience activities.
